Caravans
weren't minivans back in Jesus' time! A caravan was just a group of people
traveling together. It might be several families or traders traveling by foot,
donkeys, carts, horses, camels. They might have dogs or goats with them. In
those days it was safer to travel in groups. Mary and Joseph were probably
traveling with several families and thought that Jesus was playing with the
other children. |
