The Temple
was the central church of the Jewish people. It was the place where people
gathered to celebrate religious festivals, to honor God and to learn about God.
It was located in Jerusalem and was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The
last time it was destroyed was in 70 AD and it has never been rebuilt. Today
the Jewish people worship and learn about God in churches all over the world
much like ours, called synagogues |
