Tell Me More...

about The Passover festival.

The Passover was and is a very important Jewish festival. It celebrates the time when God freed the Hebrew people from Egyptian slavery in the time of Moses. It is called "Passover" because God caused death to come to the firstborn child in every house in Egypt. But for the Jewish people who obeyed Him, death "passed over" their house. God caused this to happen so that the Pharoah would finally let the Hebrew people go.
